Bayshore Parties

Usually occurring on Saturday nights, Judy and Jerry's dinner parties were legendary. Judy was a brilliant cook; Jerry was the grill master.  His lamb was the best I've ever eaten. In those days we all drank.  Like fishes.  There was something called "the scotch of the month club," which arose as people kept bringing new single malt as gifts.  One fateful night we discovered there were at least a half a dozen brands in the liquor cupboard. So there was a taste-test .  I was smart enough to take on the task of labeller and recorder, but there were some  hurting heads the next morning. Sometimes we wound up in the hot tub.  Always we talked and laughed and laughed.  Except that time Angela demanded that we all reseat ourselves in the order of our Zodiac signs.  Conversation just stopped.

From Left around the table: Elisa Sparks, Angela Elam, Susanna Freytag, Alma Bennett, Jerry Griggs, Judy, Jeannie David, Barry Davis. I'm pretty sure Harry Stewart took the picture.
